The Story of Hip Hop:

Hip hop originated in the Bronx, New York City, during the late 1970s. It began as a cultural movement encompassing four key elements: DJing, MCing (rapping), graffiti art, and breakdancing. What started as a way for marginalised youth to express themselves creatively has now become a global phenomenon, influencing music, fashion, and dance. Street dance styles such as breaking, popping, and locking are integral parts of hip hop culture, each bringing unique moves and rhythms that continue to evolve and inspire dancers worldwide.

Benefits of Street Dance/Hip Hop for Children:

1. Physical Fitness: Dancing is an excellent cardiovascular workout that improves stamina, strength, and flexibility.

2. Social Skills: Our classes encourage teamwork and cooperation, helping children develop strong social skills and make new friends.

3. Emotional Well-being: Dance is a great outlet for emotions, reducing stress and promoting mental health.

4. Discipline and Focus: Learning choreography requires concentration and practice, teaching children discipline and the importance of hard work.

5. Self-Esteem: Mastering new moves and performing in front of an audience can greatly boost a child's confidence and self-esteem.
